Strathyre is the perfect base to explore and enjoy the whole of the Trossachs National Park, an area renowned for its awe inspiring beauty, variety of wildlife and extensive array of outdoor activities including wildlife watching, fishing, watersports, cycling, rambling, hillwalking, golf and pony trekking. The Trossachs and Rob Roy Country are rich in culture, clan history and folklore. In neighboring Balquhidder you will find the final resting place of Rob Roy MacGregor in the wee Kirk yard. There are many excellent nearby pubs and restaurants to enjoy, specialising in local produce and some offering with live music.
